Bottle at home. Clear golden colour with nice white fluffy head. Aroma is nice, citrus hoppiness, light toffee, malty. Taste is good too, just a bit of bitterness, nice and fruity, malty sweetness. Really easy to drink. Seems I am growing to love well made Pilseners!

Bottle at home. Dark brown red colour with big bubbly golden creamy head. Aroma is fruity and roasty. Think I can smell orange in there. Vanilla creaminess too, and a bit of smoke, really good. Taste is a bit different. Not what I got from the smell. Still roastiness and some bitterness too. Hint of fruitiness further down, and dark maltiness. Pretty nice.

Tap at Kyoto Moku. Too cold, but brilliant hop nose, grapefuit, mandarin orange, apricot, bready malt. Orange, clear, low head. hoppy, bit pissy, crisp, crackwry malts. Crisp, light to medium body. Amarillo and Mandarina really coming through. A touch too pissy, but still quite nice IPL. A touch of DMS, though. Mostly hidden by hops

Bottle at Kyoto restaurant. Seems this is a new weizen for them, made with their own malt. Pretty, cloudy, deep gold wiht a low head. Nice fruit nose, apricot, apple, some banana. Very fruity flavor, melon, citrus, apple and cider, clove. A bit too much apple, but decent.

Moku Moku Weizen 5.5% Bottle. A cloudy lemon gold with a thick eggshell white head of foam. Cloves, lemon zest and hints of eggy sulfur into the aroma give me the impression of a middle of the road Weizen on first whiff. Medium bodied with a good chewy texture and a sparkling carbonation. Haru Urara 5% A deeper maltier looking gold pour with a similarly thick head of foam though this one is off-white. It's got a doughy wheat dust aroma with more of a floral hop quality to it. Light bodied with less texture than the golden Pilsner making it a tad watery. Very nice crisp flavor that is much more focused on the light malts. Golden Pilsner A cloudy gold with a thick white head and the aroma was a bready perfection. Light herbal hop bouquet with some lemon notes. Light bodied but with enough of a chewy malt texture to give you something to dig in to. Bready, peppery with a nice hop bite to it and super fresh (the all you can drink deal sees to that) means this is definitely one of the best pils I've had in Japan. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the Brewery restaurant. Brilliant gold, fine head. Nice nose of lemon, wheat, biscuits. Bready, biscuity flavor, nice lemony hops. Bitter finish. Quite fully body, low carbonation. Good stuff.
