Brouwerij 'de Schuur' is een kleinschalig ambachtelijk familiebedrijf in het centrum van Linden, nabij Leuven.

​Jan Symons, brouwer sinds 1994. Bert Symons, hulp in de brouwerij sinds 1994 en enige erfgenaam. Willem Willems, onbezoldigd medewerker met een contract van onbepaalde duur.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a sweetish fruity yeasty aroma. Malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty finish.

Bottle 75cl. @ The Danish Summer Gathering Tasting, TSODRBSG09.Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, fruity, moderate yeasty, spicy, chemical, phenoel, solvents, maple syrup notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090822]

Bottle, 75cl, courtesy of fonefan. A more or less clear, amber beer with a small, off-white head. Some anise-like aromas initially, soon overpowered by caramel maltyness and some alcohol. Sweet in the mouth, yet dryish, well carbonated and warming. Bitter finish with a bit too much warmth. I like this one, but it’s too much on the alcohol side to be really pleasant. 090822

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Hazy amber golden with tiny floating impurities and a small off-white head. Aroma of caramel and plenty of phenols. Quite full-bodied, sweet caramel and fruits. Phenollic and alcoholic finish. 220809

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2009. Pours hazy orange with a creamy white bubbly head. Sweet berries, yeast and bubblegum. Sticky, warm and full bodied. Nice

cloudy orange, small white head. aroma is mild, caramelly, faint spicy. quite mild. flavor is spicy, dry, dark fruity, also yellow fruity, alc. nice.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, yeast, and a bit of alcohol. The flavor is quite sweet with strong notes of fruit as well as notes of malt, yeast, and alcohol, leading to a bitter and alcoholic finish.

Bottle, 9%. Mild plasticky aroma. Cloudy light brown colour. Very small head. Plasticky flavour, some yeast. Hint of spice and good maltiness. The plastic and yeast are not so good notes, but could have been good without them.
