Description
In the winter of 2016, the two Augsburgers, Enzo Frauenschuh and Matthias Gruber, founded FrauGruber Brewing (FRAUenschuh + GRUBER = FrauGruber) and brewed their first beers as Gipsy brewers in spring 2017 in the Old Factory in Gundelfingen. It quickly became clear that all the ideas, experiments and further developments would be very difficult to implement without an own brewery and the freedom that goes with it. In order to grow quantitatively and conceptually, FrauGruber had to grow. We managed to realize our dream of having our own brewery in January 2020. So we came to our goal of creating a kind of "way of life" and building a community with which we can share the enthusiasm and passion for beer. Our aim is to test and live the incredible variety of beer, to act sustainably and especially to give beer a higher value.

Peach and tangerine, some mango and papaya, citrus peel, nice and juicy, some hop spice, sitting upon a dense semi sweet creamy malty backbone, balanced light bitter hoppy into the finish.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: slightly hazy burnt yellow color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: semi-sweet floral hop tones bounce over top of some sweet grains and then a clean malt base
Flavor: blends the previously mentioned aromas together to a semi-sweet sort of way with an underlying crisp bitterness; finishes with the floral hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, great sessionability! pretty smooth along the tongue
Overall: a nicely done lager with a modern spin on it and one I wouldn't mind returning to.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: semi-hazy/muddy orange color with a three finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace.
Aroma: floral, citrusy and freshly cut grass hop scents up front with a mild biscuity malt backbone
Flavor: blends the prior mentioned aromas to a semi-bitter yet substantial sweet bready toned character; finishes crisp with the floral and grassy hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; fairly smooth along the tongue but also some floral hop grit - just noticeable but nothing bothersome
Overall: probably one of my favorite beers to date by Frau Gruber, really like this modern twist on a traditional style
