Bottle, 10C. Clear chestnut brown with a beige head that rapidly fades to a bit less than a coat. Aroma of medicinal cherry syrup - bottle says cherry juice but it smells a bit artificial. Body is slightly syrupy with light carbonation. Taste is sweet - although nowhere near as sweet as their Magnus - with cherries and almonds. Finish is sweet and slightly herbal. A few sips in and this is like liquid marzipan. Interesting. Blind, I doubt I would have picked this as a beer at all.

Bottle, 6% ABV. Almost black, clear dark red held up to the light. Beige head fades rapidly to a coat. Aroma has prunes, raisins, chocolate, vanilla, mace. Syrupy mouthfeel. Taste is extremely sweet with dark sugars over stewed fruits and light spices. There’s hints of roasted malt and some bitterness cleans up some of the sweetness at the end assisted by a little carbonation. There’s a lot that’s impressive about this but it’s far too sweet for me.
