Keg at Craft Brewery, Athens. It pours amber, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is smoke, bonfire, burnt firewood, bbq and bacon. The taste is brown bread, yeast toasted malt, light metal, only a light smokiness, wood, earth and manure. Light to medium body and fairly high carbonation. Smells great, but taste doesn’t quite live up to it.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Oren. Clear golden with a bubbly white head. Decent grassy hops aroma. Flavor starts sweetish and finishes drier with mild bitterness and noble hops. Light-medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Pours brown with a large, fading head.Nose shows rich toasty melanoidin malt, very sweet and syrupy. Not complex but pleasant.Very similar flavours, lots of toasty and syrupy malt.Body seems a bit thick and oily, could use more carbonation.A bit plain but still enjoyable.

50cl bottle from supermarket in Platanias, Crete. BBE 18092011. Poured hazy, orange color with a thin head. Yeasty, spicy aroma, not very typical for a german hefeweizen. Flavor is more in the style, wheat, yeast , spices. Drinkable. Bit flat.
