Keg at Craft Brewery, Athens. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is soap, manure and farmyard. The taste is white bread, light floral, butter, hay and straw, with a sweet malt finish. Light body, high carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Not great.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Oren. Clear golden with a bubbly white head. Decent grassy hops aroma. Flavor starts sweetish and finishes drier with mild bitterness and noble hops. Light-medium-bodied. Quite nice.

Pours brown with a large, fading head.Nose shows rich toasty melanoidin malt, very sweet and syrupy. Not complex but pleasant.Very similar flavours, lots of toasty and syrupy malt.Body seems a bit thick and oily, could use more carbonation.A bit plain but still enjoyable.

50cl bottle from supermarket in Platanias, Crete. BBE 18092011. Poured hazy, orange color with a thin head. Yeasty, spicy aroma, not very typical for a german hefeweizen. Flavor is more in the style, wheat, yeast , spices. Drinkable. Bit flat.

33cl bottle from supermarket in Platanias, Crete. BBE 09/2011. Poured murky brown with a thin head. Sweet malty, caramel and some hops as well in aroma. Felt flat, not very fresh anymore. Flavor is bready malt, yeast and some dry bitterness. This fresh from tap would probably be quite enjoyable.

Pours amber with a short-lived, sudsy head.Nose shows some smoke with bacon characters, along with light fruity hops, bready malt and a soft cooked vegetable note.Flavours continue along those lines: bready, grainy malt with cardboard character, campfire smoke and a light fruity lilt towards the end.Very watery body.I prefer more sweet malt in my smoke beers.

@ the brewery tap in Athens. Bright dark red-brown colour. The aroma is earthy crystal malts. Chewy crystal malt on the palate, at least restrained under a minty hop note.
