At a tasting, thanks kerenmk, small stable bubbly head, clear light brown colourwith some rusty orange hues,aroma of banana and cake with caramel and a hint of maple syrup, flavour of caramel, biscuit and some nuts, light lingering bitterness. Nice typical bitter.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, some stale/dusty character and some fruitiness. Sweetish flavor, stale-ish, with malt, caramel, light toast and a bit of fruitiness. Medium-bodied.

Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, fruchtig, nussig. Geschmack bitter hopfig, Karamell, etwas fruchtig, trocken.

Flaske delt på RBHD-samlingen hos Asle Bjørn: fint men kort skum. Klar rødgylden farge. God bitterhet med litt frukt og karamell. OK uten å være hverken særpreget eller minneverdig.

Copper. Almost no head. Slightly metallic aroma of caramel prunes and dried fruits. Better taste, with more hops, but still balanced with caramel and malts. Good drinkability, but a bit one-dimensional.

Shared 500 ml bottle from Guernsey, probably filtered and pasteurised. ABV is 5.0%. Cognac / caramel colour, moderate off-white head. Malty aroma with caramel and brown bread. The flavour is first malty with some caramel (but not very sweet), then moderate hops take over. Not as good as the cask version, but drinkable enough.

Første flaske på RBHD-sammlingen hos Asle Bjørn: Fin mørk mahognyfarge med kort skum. Aroma og smak av malt, molasse og kanskje litt dadler. Velbalansert og lettdrikkelig. En hyggelig start på det som blir en hyggelig kveld!

Dark brown. Pale beige head that quickly resides. Aroma of dark caramel, rasins and dates. Perhaps a bit waterish mouthfeel. Good aftertaste.
