Sampled from bottle. Poured a golden straw color. Aroma is a bit boozy, honey, touch of apple tartness. Flavor is slightly sweet, with a touch of what I suppose was a bit woody.

Sample at the Mead Molehill tasting on 01/10/2011. Clear amber color with no real head or lacing apparent. Aroma of blackberries and honey. Medium body with a sweet honey and tart berry flavor that seems a little disjointed. The finish is fruity and short. Slightly above average overall.

(From dusty notes) Clear nothingness, with a bit of something in suspension pours into my sampler mug. Smells of Goya guanabana nectar & plastic. So very odd. Tastes of macerated fruit skins, lemon/lime, & more plastic. Toasty malt finish. Touch of carbonation. Pulpy/nectar consistency. Not a drain pour. Just a very strange attempt at a fruit mead.

Bottle thanks to Scott! Pours a hazy deep amber with absolutely no head. Aroma is full of red wine (pinot noir) giving a particularly dry note that is definitely more dominate that the sweet honey. Flavor is similarly full of red wine that again covers up the sweet mead but melds slightly better on the tongue. I did enjoy the the dryness though.
