Location: Tap at Rattle 'N Hum, 4/17/10
Aroma: The aroma is sweet, with some fruity, some honey, and some resiny hop notes
Appearance: Pours a clear apple juice body with minimal head
Flavor: The taste is pretty sweet as well, with a slight hop presence for some balance
Palate: The carbonation is fizzy, and the body is light and refreshing
Overall Impression: This stuff was pretty interesting. Certainly a crisp and refreshing drink, though not my favorite style in the world, I do enjoy one of these every now and again.

Bottle, 75cl, blue. The oily pour leaves a clear drink with a pinkish hue and no head. Berryish nsoe with honey notes. Sweet flavor with berry sweetness, some honey, raspberry and a papery touch. Medium, almost sticky mouthfeel. A decent one, but nothing more in my book. 091024

Bottle, 75cl, blue. A clear, light pinkish mead with some white bubbles on top. Yeasty, papery nose with fruityness and sweetness. Some honey. Yeasty, papery nose with a little honey, as well as fruityness and signals of sweetness to come. Fruity and sweet flavor with a little papery hint. Medium body, dry. A decent mead, nothing more. 091024

I just don’t get meads, what beers do you know that are near 20%? From a bottle at Vintage Estates, such a nice place; 6 - 2oz samples of mead for $15, tax included. Smells a little like medicine. Clear very pale look. Quite interesting flavor; unique in many ways when compared to other meads. rather mild and enjoyable to say the least. Friendly finish and generally not bad overall for a flat mead.

Bottle. Another carbonated mead from Redstone. Pours with a white head that falls over a pale ruby-red (think dark, dark Rose) body. No legs. Aroma of honey, and light tangy berry notes. What strikes the tongue first is the carbonation. Lively bubbles. Taste is sweet with berry and honey. Pretty basic with little depth. Highly carbonated and an oddly dry finish for a mead.
