Stingy pour @ Blind Tiger. Wine glass. Clear, pale golden color. Sweet, cidery, maple & chamomile-ish scent. Taste is cider, honeycomb, plastic, & lots of yeast. Medicinal gummy flavor. Touch of tartness. Strangely salivating. Moderate body. Oaky. Better then I expected. Pretty good even. :)

Tap @ Avery SourFest III. Peachy appearance with a dissipating, bubbly head. Dark berry (raspberry, blackberry), rich honey, fairly sweet aroma. Rich honey, raspberry fruity, light vanilla flavor. The brett notes were quite faint and this wasnβt too exciting.

Bottled. A hazy dark red drink (is it a mead or a beer?) with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of honey, lacto, brettanomyces, malt, and berries. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of alcohol, honey, berries, brettanomyces, and honey, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thank pinball for sharing.

Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a hazy amber with a tiny off-white head. Sweet juicy berryish aroma with some honey coming through. Medium body, tart raspberry notes with some honey. Tartish finish. An odd and not entirely pleasant blend. 030612

Courtesy of Dak. Pours rutty reddish brown with light tan head. The aroma has some cherries, yeasty tartness and some dank earthy mold that helps ground the whole aromatic experience. The taste pulls up cherries along with some tartness as well as more and more sweet fruit juice notes. To midway and into the finish it picks up musty notes as well as modest tart and acidic flavors. Very nice, I love the mix of sour and tartness and sweeter fruit juices.

Boulder Strong Ale Fest. Dark reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Tangy, red fruity, somewhat sour, somewhat wild, hoppy aroma thatβs mostly La Folie, a little Le Terroir, and virtually no mead. Really nice balance act in the flavor between the meadβs sweetness and the sourness of La Folie. Tangy, dark cherry, mildly sour, sweet honey, citrusy flavor with a balanced finish. Quite nice.
