Courtesy of grandet. Pours deep dark brown with garnet edges and one minute tan head. The aroma is caramel laced with a bit of earthiness along with moderately roasted malts, grapes and plums. Enjoyable flavor bringing forth roasted malts eventually leading to dry burnt malts with milder notes of earthiness, caramel and faint dark fruitiness. It really dries out with highly roasted malts and mild dusty earthiness into the finish. After a few ounces it tends to end increasingly roasty to burnt.

Courtesy of tpd975. Pours crystal clear amber with copper edges and tan head. The aroma is malty and brash with caramel, sweet chewy sticky malts, crystal malts, pine hops and a hint of fruity esters. Man, this smells good. A very satisfying group of aromatics. The tasty bold flavor starts with a sweet rich load of dark fruity esters of dark grapes, prunes and plums. Then a thick blanket of both chewy sweet maltiness and roasted malts enters and rides along for a while. Bringing the flavor full circle is a solid pine hop bitterness. Good god this is tasty. I can drink this all the time.

Nice taupe head, which leaves a pleasant lacing. Reddish/orange color. Malty, bready, fruity aroma. Pretty bitter taste. Toffee and plenty of it. Leaves some aftertaste. Overall, it tastes really British.

Horrendous, this is just a horrible way to make beer. Why the hell would you do this to a Wit? Bought a fresh bottle and I was surprised how a beer that is not infected or old can be made so bad. There is nothing "Wit" about it. The nasty ass yeast dominates and is so awkward when accompanied by the traditional wit spices. I mean the person who thought this was a good idea should be shot. And I just noticed this is 7.1%, wtf, why for gods sake, why would anyone think this hybrid is a good idea, or good enough to bottle anyway? I have been turned off by some Middle Ages hybrid brews but this is incredible stupid of them. Just imagine, I want a nice summer Wit and I get a disgusting bottle of crap. The whole thing is just wrong.

Bottle. Malts dominate this amber ale that leans to the sweet side. Dark amber pour below an average-size, off-white head that quickly disappears. The nose is mostly caramel with some notes of grain and overripe fruit. Just a hint of grass. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Wet finish with a hint of bitterness. Medium body with a watery texture and light carbonation. The tastes just don’t meld.

Bottle. This beer is far from what I think of as a good wit beer. Vanishing off-white head atop a hazy light golden body. Sweet aroma, almost syrupy, with notes of vanilla and lemon and a little coriander/orange peel. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic and lightly bitter. Thin to medium body and medium carbonation. Not very good.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a biege head. The aroma is sweet and quite hoppy. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hops, grass, and grapefruit. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.
