Nice orange tint to a golden colour. Fantasticly strong bitter smell. Initially strong bitter taste, finishing slowly and mildly. Not the greatest compliment of flavours, but an overall good bitter!

Black in colour, strong in smell...heavy bodied and loaded with malt! Very strong and good!

On tap at the Blue Tusk, Syracuse. Bronze, loads of Goldings (I think) in the nose; fruity palate with more goldings and a soft maltiness. Finishes sweet and fruity. I can see some people really liking this, but it''s not my thing.

Dubuque, IA? Mine states that it is brewed in Syracuse, NY. Anyway, I've been curious about this been ever since a large stack of it mysteriously appeared at my beer distributor one day, and quickly started vanishing week after week. This beer has a very complex, rich, nutty flavor, but the alcohol content is obviously high enough to still be noticable through all that richness. Even so, a great beer. [PS: Beware! I had one bottle in my six pack blow up on me like a science fair volcano. I had yummy brown ale all over my kitchen counter instead of in my stomach where it was supposed to be.] [PPS: Since this is VERY craft brewed, quality varies greatly from batch to batch. The second six pack I bought wasn't nearly as good as the first.]

i dont know what it is about Middle ages apricot and ithaca's apricot, but i love em. this is a good beer too, not as good as ithacas apricot wheat, but crisp, very crisp. dont expect too much body, but the apricot taste is fresh and if served cold this just might be your beer on a hot summer day.

This is a pretty good IPA, one of MABC’s better brews. A very full round hop taste that dosent last too long. Finishes kinda bland.

2005 bottle consumed 8/05. Sadly, my poor review from about 3 years ago is still fairly accurate. It does have a pretty good hops flavor, not terribly Americanized. Buttercream, and lots of fruity ringwood yeast biproducts. Poor head retention, horribly filtered. Looks like my old review sort of forecasted my hatred of filtration, as I can’t imagine I knew what it was then.

Red-orange. Rounded and bitter with citrus aroma. Complex and malty. Just my type of beer.

Fruity-hoppy, slightly earthy taste; sweetly fruity finish. Had it on cask at the Old Toad in Rochester.
