Bottled@SBWF2007. Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is really strong fruity hops along with some grassyness. Flavour is toffee, caramel, bigtime hops and overall quite pleasant.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear pale amber. Juicy grapefruit aroma. Soapy and perfumy with lots of cookie malt. Full bodied and full flavoured with long salty finish. Not the most complex of beers, but really good anyway.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep 2007) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with pine needles, resin and grapefruit. Fruity, generously hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, pine needles and resin. Rather sweet with notes of marzipan, leading to a very hoppy, fruity finish. Ok, it’s a bit one dimensional, but still a lovely, hoppy IPA.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Pale amber. Aroma of lemon and butter. Sweet and medium bodied. Low on hops with ill structured malt and an unfortunate touch of citric acidity. No bitterness.

When I first tried this, I thought I had bought an old bottle. The commercial description says this is highly hopped with cascades. Yet there was only a light aroma of grapefruit and resin. And malty sweetness seemed to come to the forefront. in the flavor Yet, tthe bottle is marked to be drunk by April of ’07, so freshness is not the issue. This is just not a big-hop beer like Two Hearted, for example. But it is still enjoyable. Clear amber pour, small off-white head. Medium body. Sweet flavor with slight bitterness. Moderately long finish.

pours a light tan head with orange/red color. Aroma is plenty of spruce. Taste follows, not sharp or overpowering, and blends with the malt nicely.

Bottle date Jul 05 Clear, bright gold color that settles below a tall head of sticky white merengue. Orange citrus aroma. Sweet malt start with a restrained hop bitterness towards the end. The bottle says Pale Ale and that’s what I would call it. Thanks to Whaleman for sending this one my way!

Thanks to TannerTavernboys for the trade. I like a good Kölsch at this time of year. The beer is dark gold with a thin white head and tiny rising bubbles. Thin lacing that races down the glass. The aroma is lightly hoppy with a bit of hay/grass. Light-bodied with touches of hops, wheat and sweet malt. None of the flavors are overly assertive. The finish is Lager-ish, lightly bitter at first but lingeringly sweet. Despite falling a bit short of the mark, I had no trouble drinking this bomber in no time.
