Definitely some lemongrass here. Not a lot of pale ale. Finishes a little sour. Soft carbonation. Bottle.

Location: Sampled at Where the Wild Beers Are, 6/7/14
Aroma: The aroma is smokey and sour, oak, plenty of meat, and some sour wheat
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow-golden color with a nice head and decent lacing as well
Flavor: Just a great mix of the smokey flavors and the sour wheat, really works nicely
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a solid drinkability, a smokey finish
Overall Impression: I was impressed by this one. I quite enjoyed how the whole combination works. Its pretty unique as well. Well done here.

Courtesy of nimbleprop, thank you sir! Hazy very pale yellow, fluffy white head. Really nice juicy aroma, but I can’t read my handwriting well enough to know why I liked it so much. The taste is earthy with a soft sourness on a nice background of campfire.

50cl bottle pours a hazy, lemony yellow with some fading, white head. Nose has plenty of smoke, very oaky, a little mesquite-y too, some burnt wheat chaff, some bright salinity, a little bit like a barbecued oyster. Flavor has bright lemon, plenty of vitamin C, smoke is second really to the acid, mild straw. Bright, acidic finish. Interesting for the style.

12 oz bottle shared by nimbleprop at the DC Local Tasting. Hazy yellow with light off-white head. Aromas of smoke and oak. Tastes of smoke, big tart notes, vinegar, lemons. Light body with a dry finish. Low carbonation. Pretty surprising tartness in the taste given I didn’t really detect it in the aroma.

Really nice - does a wonderful job of bringing various elements together. Smoke well-integrated, with lots of tart passion fruit or lemon in the aroma. Hazy yellow pour without much head or lacing. Thanks to Andy for this one.

Smoke, brisket, light crabapple undetone. Milky yellow, headless. Tart crabapple, lemon on front, surge of smoke on the back. Light body, pleasant level of tartness. Exemplary.
