Tap at the carry out in Centerport, pours a murky orange with a ring of white head. Nose has lemon and vitamin C, some grainy character, a little woody. Flavor is tart with lemon and lime, smoke is more woodsy, a little orangina, salty now. Finishes briny with a bit of beechwood. There is a good bite on the back of the palate. Unique.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-burnt golden orange color with a finger and a half of foamy white head that fell off ever so slowly. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some red delicious apples, some bubblegum, light banana, light woodiness and then some grassy and citrusy hops. Light resin and floral qualities slide in underneath. Light Belgian spices.
The flavor blends all of the previously mentioned aromas together in a semi-sweet manner and lightly spiced with some Belgian notes. All of this comes together somewhat in the aftertaste and slides into the finish fairly nice and sweet.
On the palate, this one sat almost medium bodied but just a tad under. Somewhat of a decent sessionability about it. Good carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good as well.
Overall, nicely done Belgian Strong ale well worthy of having again.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a semi-dark red to brown color with a lasting finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a mild pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some milk chocolate, nuts and a nice caramel/toffee base. Light maple in the background.
The flavor leans towards the sweet side and brings all of the prior mentioned aromas to slide into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat between a light and medium on the body with a fairly nice sessionable aspect about it. Mild carbonation with a good sturdy ABV.
Overall, nicely done brown ale well worth my time.

Thanks Justin.
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a very dark brown to black color with very little head. Some stringy lace slides into the glass.
The aroma had a deep roasted maltiness flowing into some chocolate/caramel sweetness, light biscuit and light grassiness and a touch of earth.
The flavor had a dry earthy sweetness up front really going hard at the biscuit/caramel maltiness. Some roastiness comes back but seems to not show it’s face in the aftertaste as it’s all about the earthy/grassy maltiness. Finishes fairly quick, somewhat malty and earthy.
On the palate, this one sat about medium bodied. Felt good as a sipper. Good sturdy carbonation with an ABV not very noticeable. Roasty and dry along my tongue.
Overall, in the words of Cool Hand Luke, \"what we have here is a failure to communicate.\" I mean, well, I know what potato tastes like, so where’s the potato? Sorry Blind Bat, get that potato in here and maybe I’ll try it again. I dig the idea, but I’m not digging the potatoes for you.
