12/12/12/14/12

Alkoholisch kirschiger Antrunk, dunkel.

bottle at RBSG 2010 - Pours red and has a pleasing tart aroma. It’s a bubbly brew with a light to medium body. It’s sweet and malty with underlying cherries and mild tartness. Pretty good but there are better flemish sours.

sampled during the 2011 RBWG weekend pours hazy and murky golden brown with a medium off white head. Aroma is sour grape and vinous with champagne yeast aromas. Flavor is sour apple, loads of wood, oak, maple. Ends mellow with only a slightly tart apple skin note.

Bottle via a trade. Pours with a hazed orange body and an off-white head. Aromas are oxidized, orange, cereal, oatmeal, brown sugar and marmalade. Flavors are bitter, oxidized, papery hops, raisins, light coffee, caramel and a touch vinous. Still decent carbonation, but over the hill.

Bottle 2007 vintage thanks to JohnGalt1. Pours out a amber/copper topped with a small head. Aroma was caramel, toffee, citrus, pit fruit, and some rich malts. Taste was more of the sweetness, and hops. Along with a nice fruit ending another nice brew from Upstream.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks. Poured a cloudy deep gold with a white head that dissipated quickly to the edges. Aroma was full of sour fruit with some honey and a hint of oak. Flavor was similar with a sour base with some notes of oak, honey and a bit of bread.

Bottle 42 of 71 a huge thanks to ditmier for this. First let me say this is the 2nd or 3rd beer I have had from Upstream and I have been very impressed. Keep up the good work in Nebraska. Pours out a cloudy light mahogany topped with a small head. Aroma was very nice tart, apple, vinegar, cherries, and some light wood. Taste was much as the aroma with the cherries leading the way. A nice balance of sour and tart.
