Tap at 1020. Cloudy, pastel gold-yellow, fine low head. Estery wheat nose, clove, some banana, coriander, lemon. Flavor is orange, wheat, cloves and bananas, coriander. A bit too sweet, and huge citrus flavor. Ok wit.

Tap at 1020. Lovely deep brown color with orange. Clear, low head. Nose of caramel, gumball, earthy chocolate. Soft, medium body. Prickly finish, medium bitterness. Decent.

Tap at 1020. Nose of coffee, charcoal, soy sauce, cocoa, rich and dry. Black and shiny with a fine, thick head. Tastes of milk coffee, cocoa, soy. Light and a bit sweet. Just a bit too thin, but nice.

On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon as my last beer of the night. A fairly clear gold with a thin filmy head that clings to the glass. The aroma is pretty nice: fruity zesty lemon. Light bodied with a spritzy carbonation makes for a very refreshing beer. The taste is really very flavorful, upfront that spicy/fruity lemongrass then earthy light crackery malts. I wish I’d had this on a hot sunny summer day it’d have been perfect as it hits a good balance between fruity yet staying solidly a beer. I really enjoyed this.

Tap at 1020. Deep orange, clear, with lace. Malty nose with light grassy hops. Nice malt flavor, biscuit, a touch of diacetyl, light grassy hops. Ok bitterness. Could use bitter hopping and attenuation. Too heavy for a summer pils.

On tap at the GJBF in Osaka 2014. 7% a cloudy deep honey gold with a lovely rich full clove spicy aroma. Medium to light bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. The taste is malty sweet, yeasty cloves & pretty satisfying but the finish is a touch too dry in my opinion.

On tap at the GJBF in Osaka 2014. A fairly clear honey gold pour with a thin filmy head. Quite a fruity biscuit/crackery aroma makes it pretty appealing. Med-light bodied, the taste is simple but decent enough - light crackery malts, a dash of hop bitterness and some light refreshing fruits. I can see this as a summer ale, pretty good.

Tap at 1020. Deep, dark red-brown with a low, fine head. Lovely. Malty, meaty, dunkel-like nose, with caramel and chocolate. Nice malty flavor, chocolate, light body. Closer to a dunkel than a Vienna maybe, but somewhere in the middle I guess. Decent.

Bottle from the Oike Yamaya. A crystal clear amber brown with a light filmy beige head. The nose is too yeasty & fruity some hints of DMS? Very malty grainy sweet flavor with a bit of a sort of off-centered quality to it. Ok but it could be better. Compared to the Double yeast this is great...
