Gravity dispense at Ascot Racecourse Beer Festival 2012 - 06/10/12. Opaque chestnut brown with no head. Nose comprises toffee, malt, nuttiness and a little booze. Tastes of dark fruit, raisens, nuts, toffee. Full bodied with minimal carbonation with a little booze in the finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Hillsborough Hotel, 54-58 Langsett Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England S6 2UB.Clear light to medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, light to moderate hoppy, light citrus, light toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20111020]

Cask at the Row Barge, Guildford. Poured light amber with a minimal head and lacing that stuck to the glass forever! Not much of an aroma, but quite a bitter, refreshing taste, ideal for the summer. It tasted fine whether cold or when it eventually warmed. I can't see it winning too many awards but it was great to taste and I'd drink it again! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at The Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a tight, off-white, creamy head. Nice nose of berries and ripe, dry citrus, along with toasty dough and mild leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor with more toasty dough, light caramel, toasty earth and grassy bitterness, light berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish with toasted leaves, eath and grass, a bit of brown sugar, faint woody dryness. Very solid bitter. Great condition.

Cask at GBBF, 2012. Copper coloured pour with a white head. Baked apple and pear aroma. Flavours of stewed apple, yellow melon and barley sugar. Sweet finish. Not as good as I hoped.

Cask, handpump at The Horse & Groom, Caulcott, Oxon Sunday 19th August 2012 Rich reddy brown colour with a filmy white head and tight rim of bubbles, really clear looks good. Very traditonal bitter with bags of maltiness and a lasting autumnal fruitiness. Pleasant if unexceptional aroma, malty with a dark sugaryness. Good beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Cask (handpump) @ Alehouse (formerly the Hobgoblin), 2 Broad Street, Reading, Berkshire, England RG1 2BH.Clear medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, nutty, caramel, light toffee, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Cask at The Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. A hazy reddish copper pour with a loose scummy cream head; and an unattractive aroma of damp straw; it gets better on drinking, soft and malty with some caramel; before a well-balanced bitterness and biscuity finish.

Hand pulled pint in The Crown Inn (Oakengates) on 29th March 2012. Lovely looking deep, dark ruby red tinge to the body: on top a rich, creamy, tan coloured head sat and stayed. The aroma was of mildly burnt malts with a hoppy undertone. The taste followed the nose but with extra flavours to savour: little chocolate and vanilla notes added to the roasted/toasted/burnt maltiness with again a hop presence that stopped the beer becoming too sweet or malty. Nice blend and a fine mild.
