440 ml can. Pours a clear amber with a large, creamy beige head that laces. Malty aroma with a hint of caramel and nuts. Creamy, sweet flavour of malt and caramel with a slightly dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and flat carbonation. Not bad, but not too exciting either.

A well kept Tetleyโ€™s is a great session bitter. Smooth, fairly malty. Not overly bitter or powerful.

Cask at the Roscoe Head, Liverpool. Golden with a thin white head. Just kind of sits there like a dead goldfish. A bit of caramel-toast-malt in the aroma but not much else. Bittersweet taste with the bitter asserting itself in the finish. Thin and lifeless palette. Short finish. Not actively bad but almost completely devoid of personality, like a zombie beer.

44 cl nitro-can from a market in Hong Kong, 150 HK$, 3.5%. Pours light copper color with an ultrasmooth creamy white head, typical of nitro. Nothing on the nose. Taste is slightly grainy with soft hops and mineral water, hints of caramel but very subtle. A bit tasteless and ultra soft, faint bitterness in the finish. I love still nitro bitters and this goes down easily, but nothing stands out.
