Pours hazy dark brown with a small, foamy, tan head. The aroma contains caramel, candied fruits, raisin, sweet licorice, (pear) syrup. It tastes medium fruity and licorice-like sweet with hints of sour berries and light to medium spicy/hoppy bitter; hoppy, bit metallic finish with warming alcohol. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. The aroma was more promising than the taste could deliver but perhaps it was served too cold.

On tap at the 11th Brugge beer Festival, Brugge, Belgium. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Sweet, malty, fruity, spice aroma. Tastes sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty, spice. Decent Belgian.

750ml bottle at Alex's. BB 2008-01-15. Pours a clear copper with a weak tan head. Aroma is a bit corky with raisin notes. Similar taste, very sweet with lots of caramel and dark fruits. Candy notes in the end. Interesting.
