Bottle at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, big dominating dry coffee. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a big roasty, liqouirce, charcoal, light chocolate, big dry spicy coffee palate and lingering dry liqouirce bitter finish. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Really rather nice but I think they slipped with the coffee on this one!

Bottle from Bens Independent Grocers, DC Mall, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky golden colour with a fizzy, short-lived white head. the aroma is dry skunky malt, big peppermint. The flavour is light sweet,light After Eight, with a dry crisp, mineral, mint, light honey, herbal, light dry floral hop palate. Medium bodied with lively initial carbonation. Not bad and quite interesting up front, but very hard to drink. I struggled to manage the 330ml bottle. Can't say i'd ever buy this again.

Cloudy deep amber colour, small off-white head, disappears quickly, !ight lacing. Aroma malty, caramel, toffee, hay. Flavour medium sweet and bitter, malty, toffee, hay. Sweetbitter finish, caramel notes, lacks depth, decent though imo an amber.

On tap at 65 Peel. Pours gold. Floral, touch skunky, lots of lemongrass in the flavour, little caramel. Not much in the way of the IPA, but a lemongrass beer is more interesting anyway.

Bottle at Kowloon Taproom. Almost black with a medium tan head. Aroma and taste was dominated by coffee and roasted malt. Also some hints of dark chocolate. The body was medium and the finish on the dry side.

Bottle, hand carried from HK. Nose is lemon and tangerine hop on top of huge vegetables and DMS. Stinky cooked cabbage. Hazy golden-orange with a low, thick head. Effervescent as in many infected beers. Flavor is more citrus fruits, sweet mandarin, crackery malts, and again a load of cabbage. Body is quite right, light and lightly spritzy. Seems like a good recipe, just too much stinky old cabbage and corn.

Poured from the tap. Slightly hazy pale yellow with white head. Citrus hops, lemongrass and mild resin. A little bit light on flavour like most session IPAs, but not as sessionable on the ABV. Not bad, but lots of better options available at this ABV.

Frischer Antrunk mit leichten Hopfennoten und einem sich schlagartig ausbreitendem Aroma von Zitronengras. Dies dominiert den Geschmack auch im leicht malzig angehauchtem Mittelteil. Der Hopfen verstärkt sich, bleibt aber im Hintergrund. Spannend. 8/10/7/11//10
