About
The Belle-Vue brewery is a story of more than 100 years of craftsmanship. Philémon Vanden Stock started as a so-called ''gueuze steker'' as early as 1913: he buys lambic from local brewers and uses it to create "Gueuze". In 1927 he took over the Belle-Vue café in Anderlecht, which was also the start of the Belle-Vue brand. When he took over the Vos Kina brewery in Molenbeek in 1943, he changed its name to the "Belle-Vue" brewery. He transforms from a gueuze steker into brewer. Under the leadership of son Constant Vanden Stock, the brewery grows strongly, partly through numerous acquisitions in the 50s, 60s and 70s. In 1975, the brewery moves into the old site of the Timmermans brewery in Zuun (Sint-Pieters-Leeuw). Belle-Vue has been part of AB InBev since 1981. Within AB InBev, the Belle-Vue brewery also functions as a pilot brewery and plays an important role in the Belgian network.

T: sour cherries, one dimensional lemon, not complex at all, quite sour and thats all hardly refreshing feeling, bit woody, medium body, low to medium carbonation, not good at all, sample from 75cl bottle @ RBBSG 10/2018.

06/10/2018 - sampled from bottle on RBBSG 2018 Orange to red, no head. Nose is sweet cherry. Taste is first sweet cherry, than a sour lemon touch, not as Kriek lambic should be. Could also imagine something was added to make give it a sour touch. Hey, as expected I might say.

750 ml. bottle shared @ RBBSG 2018. Bottle is filled bizarrely low & it wasn’t just this one, I checked the other ones when I was in the store. Are they trying to increase their profit like that? Pours bright candy red, cotton candy pink head. Nose is strangely very sweet, sugar, dash grenadine, sugar, cotton-candy & lemon juice in a plastic bottle. Strange taste, upfront sweet cherry / sweet kriek beer, fake leading I a very harsh lemon acid finish which really builds, it hurts your throat quickly, acidic, lemon, vinegar, acidic,… Tastes like a sweet beer with something added to make it sour but not bacteria like some lemon acidity, vinegar,… Tastes like a shortcut,… I knew what I was getting, wonder how long this scam will lasts because who wants this, Lindemands Oude Kriek is a fraction of this & way better, price point is too prohibitive , is the market this stupid? I bought this so maybe?

6/X/18 - 75cl bottle @ late RBBSG, Brouwerij Totem (Evergem), BB: n/a - (2018-1542) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!

Rather cloudy orange red beer, no head. Aroma: chlorine, soft acidity, bit lemony, oxidized. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very acidic, lots of lemon juice, some vinegar, dry and slightly fruity. Aftertaste: super acidic, all vinegar, lemon juice, bitter touch, some tannins, more vinegar, not that great any more.

Sampled from bottle @ late RBBSG. Unclear hazy dark pink to purple color, average sized white to off-white head. Aroma is quite faint, a distant cherry note. Flavor is sour, sour red fruit, cherries I guess, more sourness along the way, a bit sharp. Ok.
