Can. Almost clear amber with a 3/2cm off white head. 6+ Shyish aroma of floaty citrus (grapefruit, kumquat), breadcrust, pine, hints of tropical fruit. A lick of caramel but not all that sweet. Mostly tenor register citrus with building pine and firm bitterness. Good but did not pop as much as their best IPAs.

Can. Cloudy amber with a large cream head.Toasty aroma with sultanas, prunes, dried banana, pepper. Rich and bready with caramelised fruit, light spices. A distinct spicy hop bitterness at the end which is maybe a little overdone. A slight, appropriate warmth. Very nice.

Can. Clear deep reddish amber with a cm of pale beige head. Aroma of fruit cake and spices before some toffee emerges. Malty and quite sweet with toffee more to the fore in the taste but it dries out as dried fruit and then spices come to the fore before gripping bitterness. Exceeded my expectations.

Amber, some haze. The aroma comes across as a flabby malt and orangey, gloppy hop expression, with a lot of alcohol. Sticky, boozy, the hop is a mess, and the base malt is also a mess. And everything is a mess, and I feel bad for the El Dorado for being included in this. A lot of bad elements that don't come together.

440mL can, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is on the malty side, with plenty of dry bready caramel malts, resinous hops, and some weird sugary notes. Flavour is unpleasant in hop expression, with some sweaty hop character, toasted dry caramel, bready notes, and some oily resins. Bad recipe or bad hop product or both? Whatever it is, this doesn’t work.

Poured from 440mL can (pkg 01/07/2025; bb 01/07/2026). Lightly hazed amber gold with minimal white head. Sweaty citrus and allium hops, mild biscuit malt, average.

Day 2:

Hop Nation Don Limón Salted Lime Mexican Lager 4%

Straw gold color, thick fluffy white foam that lingers and leaves copious amounts of lacing. Nice crackery pilsner malt aroma with lime. Light bodied and crisp. With the lime and salt it is really enjoyable on a hot summer day.
