Pours a brown from a can, khaki head retains. Aroma and flavor of watery coffee. Meh.

Aroma from the can is great citrus, flavor is similar but with a very pale and crystal malt-forward aspect. Well-balanced and a great brew to drink when you just want a good unpretentious beer. Damn I’m glad someone handed me this just as I was corralling two screaming kids through the hotel, made dinner time a lot easier once things calmed down.

Hazy deep gold. Aroma is floral, and light citrus. Flavor hits the same note with mild toasted malt. Not at all complex, which is the point of a SMaSH brew. Solid bitterness. A good beer for what it is.

12 oz can. Aroma is packed with pine, pineapple, bread; it starts out with these fantastic hop aromas while it’s still cold, but then it warms up and the malt comes out and it’s not as promising. Pours hazy pale gold with a huge off-white fluffy head with excellent retention and curtains of lace. Taste is juicy citrus, pine--I like this hop character, but the malt here is a little off, like I mentioned with the aroma. Lively carbonation, medium body. Interesting hop profile here, too bad the malt had to tarnish it.

Bottle. Waited a long time to find this, finally came across a lone bottle in the Bozeman Co-Op on my move back to Boise. Sort of muddy, reddish-brown in color and topped with a creamy beige head. Thick lacing. The nose is muted in floral hops, lightly bready. More earthy and floral in the taste, but a heavy bready malt presence. No real spice, but hints of earthy bits and dandelion. The hops a there, but somewhat subdued. No idea how old the bottle is, but it reminds me of an aged Double Bastard (if it were toned down a couple notches). Drinks well.
