Stark fuseliger Abgang. - Zu schroff und alkoholisch, kein echter Genuß.

Konishi Yosano Gold 6%
Made with locally grown (Kyoto) hops, this golden brew has a fruity herbal aroma and a fluffy white head, I even get a touch of bubblegum. The taste is surprisingly dry and the crackery malts are complemented with bubblegum, banana and minty herbal hops similar to spicy Saaz but somewhat more potent. Very fresh and refreshing though I’d down this faster if it was a tad more sessionable. Really good.

On tap at world beer summit nagoya 2016. Cloudy yellow with little white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, honey, mango, a little malt, that i cant specify. Taste is a subtle fresh sourness with lots of fruits in the finish, but not the typical IPA heavy kind of fruityness, everything is very light. Very enjoyable.

Pinkish , thin head, hazy. Great plum aroma. Sweet palate, not sour, but nice plum taste. Definitely a lot of sugars but maybe the plum lends some acid balance.

Arima beer 5.5% from a bottle at Craft Beer Live 2016. A cloudy copper with a thick off white head and a fruity Muscat aroma. Medium to light bodied with a prickly carbonation but an overall smooth mouthfeel. The taste is crackery light Pilsner type malts, floral hops and muscat. Interesting. So 4 ar 7 t 7 p 4 o 13

Tap at Osaka Castle. Cloudy brown with lace. Great rye nose, bready, spicy, very malty. Again, huge rye character in the flavor makes it a very good example of brewing with rye. Probably more full on spicy grains than I have ever tasted. Body is a bit heavy. Doesn’t really do much more than show huge rye. Very low hops. With the name, they should hop it better.

On tap at Craft Beer Holiday. Konishi Citras A very very pale gold with a filmy white head. A very lemony aroma with wheat cake maltiness. The taste is a candyish lemon, almost like a lemon alcopop. Nice enough.

On tap at Craft Beer Holiday. Konishi ume A pinkish red brown with an earthy sweet plum aroma. Medium to light bodied with a dab of candied sweet um and decent maltiness. Some candied plum flavor, quite nice.

On tap at Craft Beer Holiday. Konishi Rye PA 5.5%
A ruddy brown with a thick head of beige foam. The aroma features the rye well with a rye bread aroma. The taste is the same earthy rye malts with minimal hoping. It showcases the rye malt very well but the Rye.P.A. name had me expecting much more generous hopping. Think an English Style Rye Pale Ale.

Tap at Takumiya. Huge coriander nose, orange, wheat malt. Rather typical witbier. Pale golden color. Sweet, somewhat cloying flavor, lots of spice and citrus. Can’t really get any hop character--though I know these Yosano hops really didn’t turn out that well in their first year. Ok, but not my thing.
