Light cinnamon, apples bit of sweetness. Bit too sweet maybe but still nice. Slightly medicinal
Schwarzweizen like. Good stuff. Light roast, caramel sweetness. But wheaty too.

Nice stuff. Has both the ipa feel and the raspberry goodness. Had the bitterness and the fruitiness.

Interesting. Got the stout roastiness, and a bit of something Schwarz like. Then there’s lots of lemon and tartness. Even a little funk

BAK Apple Pie Cider 5.3% Dry a bit tart with sweet apple pie notes. A touch too dry/carbonated but not bad. @ Grand Front’s Bak taproom counter in Umeda.

Seems like Depaas has rebranded thoroughly as BAK and now has like 3 locations or so in Osaka. Out and about in Osaka today for the first time in AGES. Came to see the display at Geand Front so decided to hit up BAK on the 6F. BAK X DERAILLEUR Yancha na Koneko Nihiki Hazy IPA 6% They’ve got the looks like juice right and the aroma is pretty juicy though the taste adds a roughly bitter earthy character that scuttles the whole thing making it just ok.

Apparently Depaas is now Bak... Back B Thirteen Choco Mint Stout 5.5% New brewery (apparently in Kitahama, Osaka) with a taproom in the grand Front Building so deep pockets. This seems to be a tribute to Baskin Robbins. Deep inky black with minimal tan foam and a phenolic Smokey mint aroma. Quite light bodied with chocolate syrup and mint flavors. My first dips had me thinking something was a bit off (roasty smoke notes) but it grew on me. Not bad for someone new.

Clearish gold with a small white head. Candied ginger and light lemon. Perfumy ginger and lemon. Aromatic and fairly strong.

Clear pale gold with a decent white head. Vegetal cucumber skin. Vegetal cucumber and a bitter finish. Not pleasant.

Jet brown with a nice light brown head. Dark chocolate and raspberry. Raspberry with a chocolate base. Surprisingly restrained and balanced.
