Tap at Umeda Whity. Said to be a wheat ale with orange and coriander. Nose is creamy wheat and citrus, sweet, fruity, creamy flavor, vanilla, clove, coriander, orange, banana. Seems almost a hybrid wit/weizen. Nice.

(On Tap) Hazy golden with no head. Aroma of banana and clove. Light body, well carbonated. Taste is banana and clove with subtle yuzu kicking in later. Very refreshing.

Fujizakura Ichiroheian Sabro NE Weizen 5% Matte orange gold, yeasty wheat with herbal hops. Ok but I’m not really a big fan of Fujizakura’s New England Weizen series.

Tap at Osaka BeerFes 2022. Estery, smoky nose, light caramel, bacon, clove. Crisp and citrusy flavor, light banana, clove, nice medium smoke, not as big as something in Franconia but solid. Not heavy, rather nice summer drinking.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Pithy citrus nose, grapefruit, lemon rind, white grape. Interesting hop. Clove and biscuits in the background, along with melon and a tiny bit of banana and light tropical fruits. Hazy pale yellow, thin pastel. Tall head. Wow. Big tropical fruit flavor, coconut, pineapple, crazy. Grapefruit big time. Dry finish but not as bitter as the Winter's End, which is a plus. Subtle, juicy, tropical, creamy. A strange but lovely one. Weizen yeast character is not so strong, but it's in the background.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Bright citrusy nose, grapefruit, lemon, tropical fruit, white grape, mossy forest, cloves. Hazy bright gold with a medium to high head. Rich fruit, grapefruit mainly, plus wheaty biscuits, passion fruit, pine, banana, melon. Pretty complex. Finish is quite bitter and herbal, slightly resinous and dank. Spritzy, crisp body though not light. Light for 6.5%. Good. The hop combination works well, though a little too bitter.

light golden color. Frothy white head. Yeasty nose with crackery malt and grassy hops. The palate is balanced and crisp but this odd yeastiness at the end takes away from things. A bit of a let down.

Fujizakura Heights Hazy Lager Made with mosaic & Citra this beer is hazy gold with dense long lasting foam and a fruit candyish hop bouquet. Medium bodied and raspy carbonation. Very much hop character with not too much that says lager. Alright but I expected a tough more.
