The Dandy Brewing Company is Calgary's original little brewery that embraces being a Dandy whatever that looks like. We produce inspired beers, styles we have fallen in love with, in small batches with lots of care.

On tap. Pours a clear golden-brown with a medium, frothy, long lasting beige head that laces. Light aroma of bready malt, nuts and a hint of chocolate. Sweet malty flavour of bread, nuts, caramel and a hint of chocolate with a dry, bitter grassy, hoppy finish. Light body with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. Ok.
On tap. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a medium, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, grass and a hint of fruit. Sweet flavour of caramel malt and light citrus with a dry, bitter grassy finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.
650ml bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a small, long lasting, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and molasses with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice. A good start for a new brewery.
Modest head, okay dark cherry body. Soft and sweet barley aroma, hints of fruit. Flavour is cherry chocolate with a dry crisp finish. Adequate and some good flavour but no finesse to take it to the next level.
Hazy amber color. Beautiful mango and grapefruit nose. But the body was way too malty, not enough bitter hops and too much aroma hops. The finish was non-deScript, but its major issue was that I picked up some DMS that wasn’t apparent in other beers, which were generally much cleaner. THis was my least favorite Dandy.
Frothy white head and golden color. Peach marmalade, but backbone is more full bodied and not dry enough for a saison with some bready character. Ok but not a saison.
