Dark brown. Just a thin head. There's a lot of bourbon on the nose, and some sweeter dark sugars from the stout. On the palate, big and moderately rich. Lots of bourbon, like a lot. Dominant, and there's a fair bit of alcohol in the finish just to hammer home the point. Heavy. Not all that refined, but it is enjoyable.

I love the 237ml can. I poured it into my wee 2 Crows arome glass. On the nose, it's a big and megasweet barley wine, an overload of caramel with some raisiny and boozy accents. On the palate, similar. Just a big thwack of sweetness and booze. There's not much in the way of nuance here. And what's barrel-aged spirit? As in, what beverage are they aiming for with that? This beer is quite burly and I just get the sense that there's a lack of clarity of purpose and vision to it. It wouldn't be the first massive beer with a simplistic profile, but I do wish for more nuance, complexity, style or all of the above. Instead, it's heavy, sticky and inarticulate.

12oz @ home. Appearance: very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: a nice bourbon barrel (similar to TS 2020 series) with a lot of chocolate, some dark fruits, and vanilla. Taste: along the same lines, noticeable hoppy bitterness, moderately sweet. Overall: it's pretty good, but I just wish it wouldn't be bitter.

500ml bottle. Pours a hazy orange-pink with a thin, short lived, off-white head that fully dissipates. Aroma of funky yeast, pale malt, tart cherry, oak and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, cherry, funky yeast, white wine, oak and floral hops in a crisp, dry, tart, acidic finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and crushable. Fairly complex for such a light beer.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark amber to brown colour, hazy, no head (still). Some aroma of wine, and alcohol. Moderately sweet, vinous (not sour)), with evident astringency, wood.
Good drink, I'm not excited though.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of bready pale malt, orange, mango, peach, pineapple, earthy yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, orange, grapefruit rind, apricot, peach, pineapple, pine resin, earthy yeast and alcohol in a dry, mild bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and average carbonation. Juicy, but a bit of alcohol heat.

237 ml midget can. Pours dark garnet with no head other then a few pop like bubbles. Aromas of brown sugar, candied fruit, booze, and caramel malts. Flavors follow same with emphasis on caramel and alcohol. Boozy rye whiskey like finish. Not very well put together IMHO; it's dumping booze into a sweet malty beer without a big enough base.
