Can. Black with a fading cm of tan head. Roasty aroma with dark sugars, hints of a fire on the beach. Not as much malt presence as expected but that allows the moody, briny and smoky feel to come through. Quite bitter and phenolic after a while. Interesting.

From a 375ml can on 22/8/2023. Ours a clear deep golden with a huge foamy white head. Has a pleasant light floral honey nose. The flavour is malt driven with a biscuity character with some distinct honey notes. Finishes with a modest bitterness at the back. medium bodied with average carbonation. A subtle but pleasant little beer.

From a 375ml can on 21/8/2022. Pours a very dark reddy brown with a smallish head. The nose features dark, dried nd stewed fruit, and some caramel and toffee undertones. It's rinse and repeat in terms of the flavour, just with the intensity diailed right up to 10. Sweet and sticky up front, then chewy fruity and a touch salty in the middle, and then intensely bitter at the back, with resin coating your tongue. Yet another cracking beer in this wonderful dark red series.

Can. Unclear amber with a good inch of white head. Aroma of barely ripe stone fruit, kumquats, breadcrust, grilled pineapple. Bittersweet with bitterness building straight away. Stinky tropical, stone and almost toppy citrus all have enough room to move and are sufficiently supported by cleanish breadcrust. No overt alcohol. Old school with some of the rough edges filed down. Good stuff.

From a 375ml can on 10/10/2021. Pours a really odd pureed apple juice colour tending towards brown with not much of a head. Smells quite pungent with both citrus and tropical notes. The tatse is not typical oat cream - certainly some sweetness, but the main features are quite a pronounced tang and spice. Ever so slightly creamy with the mouthfeel and average carbonation. Not quite sure waht to make of this one - a rather strange beast in a number of ways but kinda interesting at the same time.

Can. Hazy pale gold with a white head. Aroma is kind of mild (bb is 7/21 so perhaps it once was more vibrant) but nice with light lemon pudding, oranges, some herbal and berry notes. Lightish bodied but solid enough with light bread under mostly citrus but some berries and herbs before a moderately bitter finish. Refreshing.

(Can) Pours clear golden with white head. Pleasant aroma with notes of citrus, grass, biscuit. Light body with somewhat fizzy carbonation. Good taste with some nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. There’s some candy / pear drop sweet notes in the start and mid palate. Solid beer.
