Pours dark brown with a small head.Nose shows sweet toasty/bready malt and some very soft nutty notes.Flavours include sweet hazelnut, bready malt and cocoa.

Bottle. Pale amber with a small white head. Aroma of nectarines, weeds, grain, vague but zesty citrus. Toasted and grainy malt can’t quite hide the thinness of it and the bitterness cuts through a bit harshly as you’d expect. The fruit is there but gets a bit lost under weedy/ spicy notes. A decent dustcutter - as usual I couldn’t imagine drinking this sort of thing in a session.

Dark brown with a coat of tan head 3. Aroma of caramel, roasted barley, chicory, chocolate. 6+ Light side of medium bodies. Not very sweet but quite roasty with a fair whack of weedy/ grassy bitterness. Singed caramel, slightly acrid coffee. Tasty and drinkable.

Bottle. Clear reddish amber with a modest and fading beige head. Aroma of toffee, earth, pine, oranges. Medium bodied, carbonation is a bit on the low side. Not as sweet as expected with earthy caramel but no lushness. Pine but not that much fruit, although there’s some mango along with tenor register citrus. Quite bitter and a tad medicinal at the end.

Bottle. Brownish pale amber with a white head. Weedy aroma with vague citrus, boiled lollies - a bit rough and speaks to my prejudices about this obsolete technique. But it’s smoother in taste with fairly clean hay and grass and decent herbal and citrusy bitterness that gives bite without being harsh at the end. Not really my sort of thing, but refreshing enough.

Bottle. Deep dear reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, toast , earthy nuts and grass. Just slightly carbonated - silkier after a few swirls. Sweet with more chocolate and toasted malt than nut. Nothing flabby about it though, and solid grassy and earthy bitterness slide in as it dries out a bit towards the end. Going well, these folks.

Bottle. Red with a pale pink head. Vibrant raspberry aroma, some vanilla. Light bodied, slightly yogurt texture. Sweet and tart berries - or is the wheat beer a little sour too? - dry and a bit stemmy at the end with little obvious bitterness - so saying, it creep up just a tad. Delicious, enlivening.

Bottle. Clear, fairly pale amber with a modest white head that lasts OK. Aroma of peach, passionfruit, a little bread, some pine and pepper. 7 And so it tastes. Moderate sweetness, plenty of passionfruit, more pine and stronger bitterness than hinted at by the aroma. Very clean, to the point that it lacks a bit of character. Pretty good though.
