Less rich and creamy than I expected. Aromas of chocolate, cherry, apple and a little hazelnut. More hazelnut on tasting, but those tarter flavours are still present, and the cherry lingers longest at the finish. I'm not a cherry fan, which doesn't help, but there are some good elements.

Can. Clear amber with a smidge of beige head. Aroma of bread, prunes, earthy spices. Malty but really quite dry with strong bread and a spicy bitter finish. Good but didn't love the earthy notes.

Can. Rosy amber with a fast fading beige head. Rich caramel biscuit aroma with hints of spices. No fruit (or modern hops to hide behind). So it tastes. Has that real malty lusciousness. Clean and properly straightforward. Just a little spice and bitterness at the end. Done well.

From a 375ml can on 2/7/2023. Pours a clear deep amber with smallish head. Has a mild malt and fridge aroma. Th3e falvour is lightly malty and fruity, with some dark fruit and nuts and a moderate yet distinct maple sweetness. Has a gentle bitterness at the back. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Okay, but a bit too subdued for mine.

From a 440ml can on 4/6/2023. Pours a clear deep golden with a medium head. Has a sharp fruity, resiny nose, with hints of pine. Very intense on the sip. Orange and lemon but it's the hops that dominate - loiads of resin and pine, which coat he tongue and lingers. Syrupy mouthfeel and average carbonation. This is actually a really solid big, bitter IPA. Lacks the malt profile of good the great US WC double IPAs, but more interesting than most Oz attempts.
