Can. Clear dark brown with a good inch of beige head. Aroma of bread and choc biscuit, some brown sugar and spices. Quite dry with biscuity malt rapidly overtaken by firmish bitterness. Good straightforward quaffer. Might be the best value Australian beer on the market at present.

Can. Gold, a good cm of white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit, citrus blossoms, crackers, pine. Clean with lots of citrus and piney bitter finish. Does it matter that most new local IPAs are two to three times as expensive? Of course it does.

Can. Clear red with a large beige head. Aroma has citrus oozing out of stewed plums with lychees, toffee, pine. Pretty much how it tastes - but it threatens to be too sweet, but then there is enough bitterness to balance. Pretty good.

Can. Black with a brown head. Heavy roasted aroma with mocha and whisky. Not more than medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Singed caramel, hints of stewed fruits. Sweetness is nicely balanced by dark roast, bitterness and oak. A breath of whisky at the end. I like that the whisky is a theme but not the theme.
