From a 355ml can on 19/7/2024. Pours a deepest brown with a small tan head. The nose is dark chocolate, dried fruit with a good dash of whisky. The taste follows suit. Chocolate, dates, roasted malt and lots of whisky. Syrupy palate with average carbonation. A solid boozy BA sipper, but probably prefer a standard Darklord tbh.

Can. Black with a tan head that lingers only briefly at the rim. Heavy whisky, mocha & roasty aroma with more caramel and vanilla than oak. The oak bites a little more on the palate. Not much more than medium bodied with mocha, roast and quite a lot of whisky barrel. Quite nicely balanced but - like the normal version - lacking much character.

pitch black color. Massive espresso notes, maple and bourbon. Low medium carbonation, but not great depth. Strong alcohol. Not the most balanced. Fairly acrid. Not bad but not my cup of tea per se

Good to see Dainton survived their dangerous corner. Can. Gold with an inch of white head that doesn't last terribly long. Aroma of hayish bread, light spices, a touch of lemon peel. Very clean with fairly taut malt. Just a little sweetness, bitterness is spicy and just more than balancing. Solid drop.

From a 355ml can on 16/12/2023. Pours a clear deep reddy amber with a medium head. The nose is a bit malty with hints of caramel with some stewed fruit in the mix. Tastes of caramel, orange, raisins and dates with a reasonably firm pine/resin bitterness. medium bodied with average carbonation. A very nice, well balanced red IPA.

Pours hazy murky copper with a small nitro head.Nose shows heavy cherry along with soft chocolate. Slight lemon also.Flavours include more chocolate than the aroma, quite prominent. Also cherry and biscuity characters. A gentle but refreshing acidity in the finish.

Schooner on tap at Town Hall Hotel, Newtown. Pours black with a foamy head of crema. Nose is toffee, chocolate, honey. Good body, smooth texture. Balancing bitterness at the end, but still hints of sweetness. Excellent dessert beer. Probably not a sessioner.

Can. 2023 version is 7.5% ABV. Opaque orange with a fluffy cm of white head. Aroma of pineapple, peach, mango, orange. Soft texture. Cleaner palate than expected with floaty fruit before a fairly bitter finish. Slight herbal burn at the end. Good.

Can. 70s leather sofa orange with a dense near cm of white head. Aroma of pulpy and pithy oranges, pineapple and other tropical fruit, crackers, some herbs. 8- Much more vibrantly fruity upon a taste - wow. Not much bitterness, only a touch of pineapple astringency, alarmingly little sign of the 10% ABV (I suppose it's a bit drying). Fruit flavours fade elegantly away. Flash.
