650 ml bottle. Pours a bright copper color with light head. Aromas of stoned fruit jelly, grass, light pine and toasted malts. Flavors of bitter grassy hops balanced with bright fruity notes on a nice biscuity malt base. Light bitter grassy finish. Clean. Very nice

650mL bottle, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out bitter citrus rind, resinous hops, a bit of pine, and sweet caramel malt. Flavour is sweet and bitter simultaneously, with resinous hops, bitter pine, citrus zest, and sweet caramel malt. The hops-malt integration isn't overly great, with a bit of disharmony going on, but the individual flavours are quite nice. Solid stuff.

On tap. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Mild, sweet aroma of grainy malt, honey and light coffee. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, caramel, honey, coffee and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. The coffee was a bit too thin and mild for me.

Lighthouse / Andina collab. Bought this can, and it's from Lighthouse. Dark brown in colour. Just a thin head. Looks hazy but hard to tell at this level of darkness. The aroma is a bit thinner/toastier than I might prefer - there are Baltic porters this low abv but few, and not the best. So that sort of thinnish, crackery, nutty thing is telling me this is too light, lacking residual sugars. I'm not sure I'd describe the palate the same way - it has enough sugar, and body. That allows a little bit of molasses to balance out the toasty/crackery stuff. No alcohol kick. Decent hop balance. I'd say this is definitely more like the ones you'd get in Russia - Baltika or the long-departed Stepan Razin. So within style, but lacking some of the qualities I prefer most in a Baltic porter.

Dull amber, no head, ugly. Thin, the barrel doesn't help the Nightwatch at all, so for me this misses entirely.

On tap at Hopwired, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out cold brew coffee upfront, with a hint of bourbon and sweet red fruits. Flavour reveals lots of the bourbon coffee upfront, with bready malt and some gentle fruitiness. The coffee character, accentuated by the bourbon, is very pleasant. Good stuff.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy copper colour. Gentle aroma of malt and orange peel. Lean mouthfeel, the malt base is biscuity and crisp, an old style being modernized; powerful hopping, with piney resins and bitter citrus peel character.
Very good West Coast IIPA.

Pours with a nice dark burnt sienna body and very deep brown pile of foam, aroma is very nice hops and a good level of sweet barley. Flavour is deep sweet hoppy wood, caramel, barley notes. Nice smooth refreshing finish with the right amount of oiliness. Well done, a greatly drinkable dark rye IPA.
