Cask at GBBF 2016. It pours black with a small, bubbly tan head. The aroma is toasty, roasted malt, salted liquorice, umami and restrained smoke. The taste is smooth, light, roasted malt, ashy, tangy fruits, fruit cake, umami, liquorice and a touch of spice with fruity finish. Light body and low carbonation. A bit thin and tangy for me. It is fair overall.

Tap at the Birmingham Beer Bash 2016. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a big frothy white head. The aroma is lager malt, some light hop, some fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry crisp, refreshing fruity palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. As far as lagers go this wasn’t so bad.
