7 week old pint can A: Poured a tall lasting head atop a dull, dirty amber gold hazed body. S: Almost no smell. Grapefruit pith and maybe a little wheat cracker. T: Bitter and pithy but with some tropical and woody sweetness joining for balance and lingering in the aftertaste. M: Light and crisply carbonated with a lightly resinous feel. O: Pretty good but I guess I expected to be bowled over...

Sampled from a can this beer poured a bright amber color with a huge foamy soapy orange white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was jalapeno, green pepper and a hint of hops. The flavor as sweet, tangy and fruity with mild bitterness, jalapeno and black pepper. Medium length finish. Medium body.

Not bad, with a notable jalapeno vegetal back end that almost reads coffee-ish, and the slightest capsaicin tingle in the back end. Orange and toasted grain make up the middle, while mild citrus and pine offset the peppery finish. Much better than expected.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Sweet marshmallow, mango and citrus upfront turning to pine in the lasting finish.

The can says NE IPA but this pours clear as a bell amber with tons of floaties in it. Aroma is caramel malt to start then some pine hops. Flavor is more caramel malt with some honeydew and bitter orange peel. This is not a NE IPA and far from a good IPA.
