Blik gedeeld door Benzai. Bleek gelig bier, licht troebel met weinig schuim. Aroma van een aardappelveld. Smaak van paprika. Weinig nasmaak.

Can @ tasting shared by me. Clear golden color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste heavy peppers, some malts, some hops, but it basically just tastes like (Dutch) "paprika water / squeezed paprika". Yuk. Bleh. Hate it.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 6/14/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, red apple, melon, coriander, dill, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and pale/wheat malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, red apple, melon, coriander, dill, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grassy and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, red apple, melon, coriander, dill, citrus peel/zest, light pepper, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.4%. Overall this is a delicious hoppy American pale wheat ale. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Great balance of juicy/earthy Columbus, Cascade, Sorachi ace hops; with fruity American wheat yeast, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

2 week old pint can A: Finely hazed medium gold color with small amounts of white foam falling to a ring. S: Toasty malt scent with light herbal hop notes. T: Sweet malts upfront quickly joined by vegetal notes of (cooked) jalapeno including just a bit of heat. Veggie sweetness lingers. Hops are lost on me. M: About as flat as it looks and more carbonation would help. Feels heavy for the ABV. O: This may be great with food but the sweetness and flat body leave a lot to be desired on its own. And this bigass can!

16 oz can, split with friends. Poured a hazy yellow color with a small but fluffy white head. Aroma was light grain, some jalapeno came through, green pepper flesh. Flavor was light grain, some mild toasted notes, sweet, with a little bit of heat to it. Not overpowering.

Pint can pours with a slightly hazy deep gold body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma offers up loads of jalapeno pepper and little else. The taste delivers the same dang load with jalapeno flavor all over the place. There is only a tiny pepper warming going on. If jalapeno flavored beer is your deal then this one will work. Good stuff.
