2 month old pint can > stange A: Pours 1" of tight tan foam atop a clear dark mahogany red tea colored body. Good retention and patchy lace. S: Light scent overall of spicy hop notes and faint toffee. Very little roast or chocolate. A little Dr. Pepper. T: Now THERE's a bit of chocolate underneath light fruity hops. Some citrus. Little sweetness. M: Medium light with soft carbonation providing a smooth mouthfeel, finishing bitter with cocoa. O: Pleased with this overall. Not too sweet, strong or burnt. At $9/4 pack pints an easy recommendation.

Draft at Salud. Hazy golden color white head. Aroma of peppery straw. Taste is bitter and peppery. If any roastiness is here it’s very subtle. Doesn’t work.

Can shared by Jack, thanks! Pours black with a light brown head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma combines dark grains and vanilla with a touch of roasted malts supporting. Flavor has a combination of sweet dark grains, roasted malts and a bit of vanilla supporting.

22oz bottle pours a murky black with some ringing tan head. Cinnamon hits you first on the nose, tamarind, turbinado sugar, some cocoa pod, toasted bread. Flavor is chewy with grains and molasses, the mexican mole thing is right there though, raisin, cinnamon, mild ancho, a little black tea, some mild booze here. Finishes a bit watery, but a decent pepper/cinnamon note. Actually very well done and nuanced.

Can from the hotel cooler. Pours hazy golden, medium creamy white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is peppery for sure, hints of biscuit malt. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, prominent pepper notes but no real heat. Light plus body. Quite pleasant actually.

6 week old pint can A: Clear but with a fine swirl of sediment. Medium gold with a short lasting head. Stringy lace. S: Sweetish. Orange, tangerine, spruce and honeysuckle. T: Crisp and bitter with pine and tart citrus zest then very faint caramel and a woody note. Good flavors and balance. M: Light, dry and smooth, finishing clean with soft carbonation. O: Revisiting this since the ABV has changed from 4.8 to 5.3. It seems a bit drier and not as malty as before. Still quite enjoyable.
