Deep dark copper and bronze coloured body with a relatively nice two centimetre tall off-white head with a very deep amber glow. Aroma of light metal, a touch of nuts, but a lot of caramelised sugars, earth and toffee - quite strong in the nose, with some alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very strong earthy, nutty, herbal and very pungent with the lager yeasts and biscuity malt notes dominate, with a good deal of caramelised sugars, toffee, rustic sugars and a lot of deep malts. Aftertaste shows some relatively strong grainy qualities, some light rye and specialty grains and a lot of caramelised sugars, toffee, earth and deep sweetness - all with a pungent bitterness from both earthy hops and the metallic notes that couple with the noticeable alcohol. Overall, a relatively straight-forward, but deep, strong, carameley and rustic malt-driven, yeastie and bready beer that shows the lager notes throughout with a lot of sugars (most are caramelised) and some lighter herbal and dry notes that shows the rustic nature. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 28-August-2020 for US$2,96 sampled at my house here in Washington on 04-October-2020.

Pint can from Wine Warehouse, and definitely NOT courtesy of @hershiser2. ;) Hazy pale orange, large creamy white head, good retention. Aroma of strong passionfruit, guava, pineapple, grapefruit, and a sharp kinda briny note. Taste is passionfruit, guava, pineapple, pale malt, salt. Medium bodied, lingering tartness. Solid.
