Very hazy golden, straw coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white and tan head that sits nicely above the 90 per cent opaque, glowing body. Aroma of grass, strong oranges, hay, flowers and even showing a tiny bit of spice, especially noticeable at the end, with some sweetness seemingly here, too. Medium-bodied; Nice strong hoppy flavours show at first with a crisp herbal and perfumey punch, but some smoother oranges and grapefruit flavours follow shortly afterwards with a good malt backbone throughout and a bit of pepper noticeable at the end, all with some mild sugars, but not much alcohol noticeable, in a good way. Aftertaste is rich, from the dryness, malts, sugars and especially the crisp fruits, with some bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops, but less than average for the style. Overall, a pretty well-rounded unfiltered IPA that shows it's new school chops, but with some noticeable bitterness and sweetness that never seems to get to Imperial Status, but that is a good thing. Great to try and especially better for those who like newer school IPAs that hide alcohol well - great super fresh and local! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Sperryville Corner Store in Sperryville, Virginia on 09-July-2022 for US$4,99, canned on 15-June-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 18-July-2022.

Super hazy golden, straw and pale yellow coloured body with a thin half centimetre all just off-white head above the 80 per cent opaque body that barely covers the top. Aroma of crisp grass, hay, flowers, some resin and an odd, meaty, mushroomy and deep finish that doesn't fit the style - strong in malts. Medium-bodied; Rich grainy malts show at first with a very strong grassy and herbal hop bite with actual bitterness here along with a slight kick of lemons and some richer orange notes of kumquats and tangerines, with no sweetness, just the pungency and bitterness. Aftertaste is nice and robust with a great balance of the strong malt and hops that shows a lot of bitterness from the alpha acids of the hops but also supported by the rich malts that hold up nicely and give a full-bodied profile that while doesn't make this very easy-drinking, much more complex and full-of-flavour. Overall, a very nice local-ish IPA that definitely hits as an unfiltered East (or even West) Coast IPA with real bitterness rather than a New England (new school) IPA but either way, definitely recommend for those who love IPAs, like me. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from The Sperryville Corner Store in Sperryville, Virginia on 18-June-2022 for US$4,69, canned on 11-May-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 25-June-2022.

Good noble hops here. A hint of florals, a little lemon peel. Golden pour with fluffy initial head that doesn't stick around long. Crisp finish. Good for style. Can.
