16 fl oz can from beer army outpost in new bern, bought summer 2015, $4.60. no best before date, but definitely past its prime. pours a murky dirty orange with a steady dense head and a nice lacing. aroma of barley wine, alcohol, woody hops, peppermint. flavour of caramel, wood, herbs, lemon, quite sour. interesting, woody, not very ipa-like, but I wonder if it was different when fresh...
