Draft. Opaque dark brown color, tan head. Dark chocolate aroma. Taste has cocoa, coffee grounds, licorice, toast. Decent.

16 oz. can. Pours hazy orange, with a medium, frothy head. Nose is pine, caramel, mango, and some light floral notes. Fairly bitter, with a hefty malt backbone. Light to medium body, crisp, and clean. Overall, this is a nice, thoroughly drinkable, and pretty well made IPA.

Growler. Coffee grounds, herb, and chocolate malt aroma. Black with small head. Sweet strong black coffee, creamy chocolate malt, and mildly bitter herbal flavor. Moderate bitter coffee aftertaste. Excellent.

Draft at MM Asheville. Cloudy straw color. Nice arima of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Taste has butter lemon, grapefruit, pineapple. Could have better balance, but tasty enough.

Draft at the source. Completely black color, brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Nice cocoa powder aroma. Taste has burntvtoast, burnt cocoa, burnt licorice, burnt espresso. Very tasty.

Draft at the source. Muddy brown color, an ugly beer. Aroma of sweet caramel. Taste is sweet lightly spiced toast and butterscoth.

Draft at the source. Clear ruby amber color, bright white edge head. Aroma of spiced Christmas fruitcake. Taste is very sweet spiced fruity brown bread. Interesting variation on a theme. Nice body.
