What makes Boone shine? First and foremost, the people. The people of Boone are explorers…artists…craftsmen. Our community thrives on adventure. Whether hiking a mountain for the first time, catching your first rainbow trout, taking a bike ride, carving a turn on the slopes or just being outside on a perfect summer day. Boone truly shines.
At Booneshine Brewing Company, we are passionate about brewing high quality beer and equally focused on connecting with people and tapping into what makes the community of Boone, NC and The High Country shine. Beer is about connecting with people. Sitting down to enjoy a beer can be a sacred moment…a time to reflect on the day… and the future. Let's make Booneshine together!
The aroma is dusty citrus hops. Flavors are similar to nose with just hints of pineapple. A little sweet up front with good carbonation and some bitterness and the finish. A bit of booze at the end too. Good enough beer.
The aromas are pale malt, crackers and yeast. Flavors are similar to nose, a little sweet up front with a growing bitterness towards the end. Nothing too remarkable.
The aromas are fresh citrus hops with a little bit of resin and a hint of funk. Flavors are like nose, a bit on the dry side. Good body and carbonation with a slightly bitter finish. Decent beer.
8 week old pint can A: Murky gold with 1 of yellowish head, good retention and patchy lace. S: Light scent with lots of grapefruit and pith with light pineapple and honey. T: Brash bitterness up front with again lots of grapefruit joined by pith and pineapple. Light sandalwood or caramel sweetness rounds out the finish. M: Light medium body with very prickly bubble scrub and wet resinous finish. O: Tasty well balanced flavors and lively mouthfeel make this very good.
