Concord Craft Brewing Company is a small batch craft brewery with a retail beer store, where beer enthusiasts can walk in and sample the current beers on tap, take a brewery tour, or take a look at the cool beer gear in our store. Our beers may be purchased in a variety of shapes and sizes in our brewery store, at a capital area bar or restaurant, and at selected retail stores. Our location sits among restaurants and shops in the newly renovated, historic downtown district of Concord in the former Merrimack Farmers Exchange building that houses our 15-barrel, steam-powered brewery.
We started Concord Craft Brewing to bring great beer to the people of New Hampshire’s Capital City. We use only the best all natural ingredients and brew it right in downtown Concord. We deliver our beer fresh to Concord’s best restaurants and bars. It costs more and takes a little longer to use the best ingredients and pack each pint with flavor, but we think you will taste the difference. That’s LOCAL FLAVOR.
We brew a range of beer styles, but in every case we aim to deliver a full, well-balanced, clean, fresh flavor for your enjoyment. We think it is OK for lighter beers to have a little more flavor and bigger, darker beers to be bold, but we always aim for balance. All of our beer styles will be on tap fresh at our beer store and tasting room, while select styles will be served fresh at your local capital area restaurants and bars.
On tap at Cheers in Concord. Lightly hazy bright orange in color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Pomme and tart cranberry flavor and aroma with a light lemony tartness.
Can from the source. Dark brown in color with a tight foamy off white head that persists. Big coffee flavor mixed with a bit of roasty chocolate and dark dried fruits. Nice easy to drink stout.
Can from the source. Lightly hazy medium gold in color with a fizzy white head that slowly recedes. Bready crackery maltiness with bits of pepper skin. Light warming in the finish but fairly mild heat wise. Not bad with some pizza tonight.
Can from the source. Hazy yellow orange in color with a good sized fizzy white head that dissipates quickly. Tart fruity nose. Flavor is lemony tart up front but lots of berry and pineapple linger in the finish. Pretty nice for a kettle sour.
4 ounce draft. Crystal clear yellow color. Jalapeño is mostly the only thing you can taste. No spicy burn. Texture is smooth as a cream ale should be. It is what it was intended.
Can from the Packie Brilliant deep copper with garnet hues and a small off white head that quickly recedes. Bready caramel nutty maltiness with enough earth and light spice to counter. Pretty nice red ale.
4 ounce draft. Near clear red color. Flavor is no surprise. Berries up front with a soft sour grain finish. Mild lasting sourness with a refreshing quality. Nice
16 oz. can. Aroma has a strange floral note with some berry. Apple is upfront, soft tart berry and again with the odd floral tone. Finishes on some light lactic acid. Not my favorite brew from this brewery.
Can from the Packie. Hazy lemon orange with a decent sized bubbly white head that shows moderate retention. Lemony grapefruit earth grass and tropical notes against a sweet honey bready maltiness. Decent beer.
750 ml bottle purchased at the brewery in February 2020. 2019 vintage is 9.3%. A brewery employee showed me that this vintage was aged in Heaven Hill barrels. Aroma is bold oak with soft chocolate. The flavor shows the bold oak character with very little bourbon. Body is average for the style. Dry texture. Some warming after the sip.
