Can from Greg and Jane's Slightly hazy light golden color with a decent sized long lasting frothy white head. Spicy earthy light clove and pepper with plenty of citrus and resinous hops to counter. Pretty decent session.

12 oz can bought in NH. Cloudy light gold color with a small white head and good retention. Spotty lacing. Crisp mouthfeel. Light body. Straightforward wheat ale flavor. No frills. Clean and easy drinking.

Can from a co-worker. hazy dark red, 1 finger head. it smells old. very bitter, old oranges and banana. oatmeal, old orange peel, old fruit, mold, incredibly bitter, like a very hoppy red ale.

In a goblet at the Tuckaway Tavern. Appearance is lightly hazy yellow/orange with no sparkle, no head by the time it reached the table and no lacing. Aroma is tropical fruit and grapefruit with light yeast. Taste is similar to aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and mostly sweet with light bitter and yeasty finish. Overall, not enough Belgian influence to be truly different and the aroma and taste profiles, while good, don't really stand out in a tough category.

Cask at Cask and Vine 300 Pints Fest Deep tawny brown with a thin white head. Rich caramel and brown sugar with bits of grass and light pitted fruits. Tasty but young barleywine.

Poured into a chalice, the appearance was semi-dark red to brown color with a thin white foamy head that held, glistened and fell off at a decent pace. Light stringy lace.
The aroma had some dark and milk chocolate, some caramel malts, light earthiness, dried wood, some apples, clove and butterscotch. Some light floral hops at the very end.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side at first and then some of the clove spice tried to make a decent effort of blending. But the malts did stay towards the front for the most part. Slight aftertaste of the malts which pounced into the finish in the same sort of way.
The feel was about medium bodied with a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, honestly, I didn’t this as much of an Abbey Dubbel as I didn’t get a whole lot of that \"Belgian containment\" about it. It’s decent as a beer but didn’t seem to really make me think the Belgians would want to drink this.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a fairly pale yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Thin white foamy head sat atop and fell off at a decent pace. Sliding lace.
The aroma was the sweet honeydew/melon sort of thing going on. Some grassy sweet hops at the very end.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side of those melons which lead into the aftertaste to leave a semi-smooth clean sweet melon finish.
The feel was light bodied with a pretty good sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, pretty nice fruit beer that I would have again preferably in warmer weather. Grill side beer - yes!
