On tap at Tuckaway Tavern into shaker pint glass. Appearance is clear, dark yellow with mild sparkle, tiny white fizzy head fading to ring. Aroma is citrus and resin. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with slick texture, average-to-lively carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, not bad but doesn't stand out.

Taster pour at the source. Appearance is cloudy dark yellow/light brown with 1/2 finger-width light head. Aroma is fairly weak wheat, Belgian yeast, esters. Taste is stronger than aroma, with traditional wheat, Belgian yeast, but also tart/sour contributions and surprisingly bitter. Palate is medium bodied with average texture and tart finish. Overall, maybe I got a bad batch or pour because this is nothing like earlier ratings. Not doing it for me.

Thanks to johnnnniee for the share of this 750 ml! Aroma is a bold maple, light smoke, and pretty nice amount of chocolate. The flavor is a nice balance of maple, smoke and deep roast. The mouthfeel has a great fullness that I love in the style. Great stout, Thanks Johnnnniee!

Bottle from the brewery. Solid black in color with a frothy tan head that persists. Rich sweet maple sweetness with bits of chocolate and roast countering a solid smokey flavor. Light sweet bourbony barrel notes round this out quite nicely. Very well done.

Cask at Cask and Vine Deep ruddy brown with a decent sized tan head. Rich pitted fruit and faint chocolate on the nose with the expected raisin earthy spciy caramel that comes with a dubbel. Very tasty.

Cask at Cask and Vine Slightly hazy light golden color with a smallish white head. Sweet honey and lemon zest on the nose against a spicy earthy wheat background. The flavor almost reminds me too much of a cough drop with lemony honey thing going on, but I enjoyed this beer.

Bottle purchased at Prost. Small carbonation and small white foam lacing the snifter. Aroma is fruity yeast domination and mild floral tones.
The yeast has a nice presence with some lingering herbal tones in the finish. Medium body with nice fruity and candied fruity taste. Good attenuation. Some light sweet caramel but balanced with the herbal rose hips. This is nicely made.

Bottle date of 1-16-2016 purchased at Prost. Clear Amber / orange color, lasting head retention. Aroma is a steady amount of Rye malt, mild caramel, light floral. The flavor shows the a good amount of Rye, mild floral hops but ends with a lot of sweetness. Lots of tropical fruit that kills the hop profile in the finish.

Poured from bottle 1/15/16 thanks Airforcehops copper caramel color with nice lacing and a thin white head. Aromas of rye caramel floral notes mild citrus and resinous hop. Taste is sweet caramel lingering bitter hops. Might be better fresher.

650 ml bottle, no date of any kind on the label. Aroma is toffee, grapefruit and citrus hops. Yep, the flavor is mostly a toffee base with toasted grain. Very mild hop for balance. Medium body, average texture. No problems with the beer.
In General I understand why breweries still brew an amber ale. They need a brew that pleases the masses. Not everybody is ready for a wine barrel aged saison with a Brett culture, or an imperial stout aged 10 months in some kind of whiskey, cognac or bourbon barrel. Honestly for me the amber ale style is just so boring. A style that just seems very outdated.
