50cl bottle pours a mostly clear lemon yellow with a ring of white head. Nose has lemon, some funk, neutral barrel, some peppery, some light grist, straw. Flavor is lemony, light soap, dried herbs, straw, some stale grist, a little buttery nose. Medium bodied, medium acid, tart finish.

Taster at brewery. Signs of hope. Cloudy amber, ring of head. Sweet aroma, banana, weizen notes. Taste is bready, overly sweet, bordering on medicinal, bubblegum. Started nice, but finished cloying.

Taster at brewery. Listed as a bitter, but is really a golden ale (rated as a golden). Clear, bright golden, fluffy white head. Aroma and taste are sweet and bready with a minor tingle at the finish.

Can at home for mnf. Dark pour minimal head. Nose is roast and chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, earthy, ash, roasted malt, licorice. Smooth palate. Some bitterness.

First visit at the brewery, April 2019. Amber colour with a beige head and spotting lacing. Rich dark fruit aromas of sweetness with dates, plums, hints of apples and caramel. Roasted malts taste, well-balanced with the dark fruits, but not as sweet as the hops closes the lingering richness, some coffee, nuts and with the grassiness. A very nice hoppier Barleywine.

First trip to this brewery, April 2019. Caramel amber colour with a beige head, decent stay and lacing. Malty nose, but quite mild compared to their Barleywine. Rich malty taste with a cutting hoppy finish. Pretty dry mouthfeel for the style. A hoppier Scotch Ale that goes down nicely.

Enjoyed at my first trip at the brewery, April 2019 (Easter holidays). Dark brown colour, close to black with a mocha-coloured head and average stay and lacing. Amazing coffee nose with some blended sweetness over roasted malts. Roasted malt taste with lots of hops in the finish. Molasses and light coffee lingers with the grassiness. The mouthfeel is very sharp and dry. Easy drinking and again, hoppier for the style.
