Can from a Lazy dog. Mostly clear deep yellow with a tightly bubbles white head that persists and leaves spotty lace on the sides. Sweet bready pilsner malt and a crap ton of spicy floral lemony hops. Lingering hop bite in the finish. Pretty nice hoppy lager.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a soft hazy yellow color with a slight transparency to it. Carbonation could be seen rising at a moderate pace to fill a one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Semi-moderate lacing runs here and there.
The smell takes the crisp sweet floral hops to bounce upon some delicate smooth sweet bready malts.
The taste was basically the same with a sly little bite of the floral hops sliding into the aftertaste and then on into the finish whish is somewhat sticky wet.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a crisp sweet sessionability about it. Carbonation rides fairly low so some stickiness runs about, nothing overbearing, feels good and still some light hop harshness comes to give it a slight bitter/harshness, why, well, it just does.
Overall, as an India pale lager, I’d say it’s a good one, definitely fits everything von Trapp says it should. I’d have this again.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Prost, North Hampton, NH. Deep ruby or brown type color, thin tan head. Aroma is rich with Munich malt showing, chocolate hints, burnt sugar, dried fall leaves. Earthy
The flavor has a bready character with the same earthy malts that are found in the aroma. Sweetness balance by some spicy hop bitterness. The body is decent for a lager yet leans on the lighter side. Overall for the style it is pretty correct.

12 oz. bottle. Dark brown / black with thin white head. Aroma shows coffee, caramel, burnt grain.
Flavor is spot on for the style. Molasses / caramel base that gives some mild sweetness. Mild nuances of chocolate. The finish has a burnt grain and very light smoky hint. Traces of yeast. The carbonation is moderate with a chalky / smoky grain texture. Easy to drink. This is rather nice.

12 oz. bottle from Prost. Aroma is toasted grain, sulfur, and mild yeast. Flavor is a reflection of the aroma with some light hints of dark bread and maybe a toasted nutty hint. Body is pretty thin/ rides the line of watery. Overall nothing close to high end of the style but drinkable enough.

12 oz. bottle purchased at Prost. Hazy lighter yellow color, decent head retention. Aroma is light citrus, mild banana with a bready malt hint.
The flavor shows the German yeast character that you would want in the style. Body is lighter and not having a chewy yeast texture. Pretty much standard for the style. Decently made but can’t stand next to the older German examples in style. No flaws or problems.
