Pours pale yellow into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Lemon and hay aromas. Soft with sweet hay and straw upfront turning to lemon peel before the lasting pith and pine finish. Nice.

On tap at Tip Tap Room, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma has soft spicy hops, straw, and biscuity malt. Flavour begins fairly mild, then the spicy hops kick in, along with straw and biscuity malt. Finishes spicy, moderately bitter and crackery. Not as clean or punchy as I want my Czech pils, but it’s reasonably done.

On tap at Tip Tap Room, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma fairly nondescript, with straw, herbaceous notes, and corn-like notes. Flavour is clean, full of straw and crisp biscuity malt. Way better than the average macro lager swill; but still, it’s a Mexican lager.

Tasting room draught, 7/30/26.
Bit of earth, herb and acid with crusty grains and mineral. Not a typical honey-rich pils character, for example.
Very different with a touch of dry, bitter bark, I guess. But still malty enough, just quite dry. Light and airy, and very different than what Schilling usually does, which is always interesting to try.

Pours slightly hazed yellow into a tulip. Bright white head with little retention crackles as it recedes to skim surface. Honey, apricot and citrus aromas. Spritzy with sweet white grape, mild funk and honey upfront turning quickly to tart, underripe apricot and plum before the medium length lemon peel finish.

Tip Tap draught, 7/29/26.
No big overt lime in the nose. Mostly malt with a touch of grassy hop. Clean and airy as a summer quencher should be. Not really getting any corn-like sweetness. Maybe a touch of soft acidity from lime on the end.
The lime is woven in deftly and is easygoing and shows a soft sweetness rather than a sharp acid. And it's very tastefully light. The main force here is lightly bready, crackery malt and just enough depth to make sure it's not thin without getting too full or sweet. Clean and incredibly easy drinking but still very flavorful.

Pear nose. Clear yellow, thin head. Pear, chewing gum, peppermint. Light body, easy carbonation. I am having a bad run of luck with tripels. This is actually worse than the last one I had. I'm so ready for Oktoberfest.

Canned 3/18/26, drunk 7/22/26.
Not over-hopped, but of course, this is over 4 months old, so that's not surprising. Huge, fruity esters and nutty, rich wheat create the backbone. Just a touch of the less desirable (IMO) clove and bubble gum. Very brightly aromatic; great clarity.
Peppery phenol with good hop bitterness. Soft, slick, nutty wheat with chewiness on the finish. Good depth and attenuation to the malt/wheat. The hops complement the yeast and the lines blur between where each start and end, which works great so that you get a balanced helping of both. A classic, well-executed hefe with extra bitterness and hop character. Not flashy, but the addition of the hops is handled masterfully here.

Pours cola black into a stein. Mocha head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Dark caramel, cocoa and cola aromas. Thick with dark molasses, milk chocolate and cola upfront turning to charred, bitter tobacco in the dusty, lasting finish.
