16 oz can.
Aroma is light earthy chocolate, mild toffee. Flavor is earthy grain, mild milled grain and good earthy hints. Nice malt profile. Lighter side of medium body. Really nice strength in the malts.
A German dark lager that has porter characteristics. Very nicely constructed!

Pours bright gold into a willi. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spiders to soap surface. Lemon, hay and pith aromas. Crisp with sweet melon and lemon/lime upfront turning to hot pith and peel in the dry, lasting finish.

16 oz. can traded by clarkvv, thank you buddy! Glad I didn’t miss out on this one. Aroma is cracker, malt, and a mild, leafy green hop. Flavor is soft mineral, ample bready malt and the moderate green hop bitterness.
I would call the body light, but definitely on the medium side because of all of the bold bread like malt. Ends dry and nicely crisp. Overall, simply wonderful.

Pour is a chill haze gold with a large white head. Aroma is a nice wet dough malt with a little spicy hop. Flavor is more on the spicy hoppy side. A nice well made Czech pils with a nice hop kick.

Bottle at CBJ Tasting. Aroma is boozy and malty and dark dough. No head. Opaque Light-medium brown. Flavourwise it has a boozy tang with spice over treacle. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation . Long dry somewhat astringent finish.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to LKS. Near clear deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, a little soft, modest fine carbonation. Soft caramel malts, a little dark toffee. Soft but rich bourbon tempered by mild port barrel berry fruits. Some okay vanilla on the light and mildly spicy finish..

Lightly sweet. Quite woody. Bit of booze, toasted caramel, plenty of earth. Warming finish. Dried semi-dark fruits. Nice one.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black and actually more leaning towards the black color with a two and a half to three fingers of khaki foamy head which slipped off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: deep dark bready/pumpernickel scents with some dark chocolate/cocoa notes then some earthy to herbal whiffs running in and out
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a bitter to roasty and earthy sweet quality; finishes roasty, slightly bitter and dark bready
Texture: light to medium bodied - slightly closer to medium bodied; sessionable; some smoothness with a good carb about it.
Overall: nicely done dark lager worth coming back to this Autumn.

16 oz can. Aroma is molasses, cocoa and soft herb. Flavor follows suit with a healthy malt backbone. The cocoa lingers slightly after the sip.
Solid medium plus body with a nice dry texture with a dainty bitterness. Excellent balance.
